New Start Date/Tornado Academy Information

Greetings from Tiffin City Schools. Please take time to go to our district website to see the newly adopted school calendar for the 2020-2021 school year. Students' new start date is after Labor Day. You will receive further information from your child's school in the coming weeks. Also attached to this is a Tornado Academy Flyer, which is Tiffin City Schools online digital school program which families may elect to enroll their students in versus face to face instruction. The flyer has an enrollment link embedded into it along with a QR code to make enrollment in the program more family friendly. By enrolling in this program you are making a semester commitment to having your child learn through the digital platform with the support of Tiffin City Schools staff. The enrollment deadline is August 14th.

Tornado Academy-Additional Information

Below is the link to a seven-page brochure that gives additional information about the curriculum used for the Tornado Academy. All enrollments in the Tornado Academy will go through Tiffin City Schools. After enrollment closes on August 14th, parents who have registered their children will receive further guidance and information to better prepare their child for the September 8th start date. Summer Food Distribution (CLICK HERE)

TCS FOOD SERVICE announces the National School Lunch and Breakfast Emergency Feeding Seamless Summer Option Program will continue until school starts. Any child 1 year to 18 years old can pick up 5 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 10 milks on Mondays from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm at Columbian. High School.

Governor DeWine has announced that all schools will be closed for three weeks beginning Monday, March 16th. Students will attend school all day tomorrow, Friday, March 13, during their regular school hours, to gather needed items for the next three weeks and receive instructions from individual classes and teachers. Additional information regarding the closure time and overall situation will be released as it comes available. Also, please read the announcement from local superintendents regarding COVID-19 response and protocols.
